Event description

Description

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is committed to working in partnership with students to offer “an outstanding broad-based international education to talented students” (Global Strategy 2020). This is exemplified by the initiative to develop a series of evening workshop masterclasses that unite UG and PG across all programmes to explore common themes of health and well-being.

Join us for the first masterclass on Wednesday 29 March, focusing on the fascinating theme of global public health. Lecturers from Veterinary Medicine, Life Sciences, and Health Sciences will be speaking on their experience and research on Ebola, palliative care in resource-poor settings, the global burden of inactivity, and the One Health initiative. We hope that these topics will inspire interesting conversation and interprofessional learning.

All are invited to attend, and we encourage everyone to continue the discussion afterwards over refreshments.
