Global Launch: Children in All Policies 2030
Event Information
About this event
The climate crisis is an existential threat. Children are already suffering in many ways, and their future is in jeopardy. 2021 is a critical year to start the worldwide transformation to a more sustainable and healthier way of life. The event takes place just before Earth Day and the Leaders Summit on Climate.
Governments, civil society and individuals urgently must take action to preserve children’s future. And children must have their say.
Join the inaugural event of a new initiative, Children in All Policies 2030 (CAP-2030) to:
- Discuss the impacts of the climate crisis on child health and well-being and what urgently needs to be done.
- Ask your questions to a panel of leading experts from all over the world who are speaking out and driving action with evidence, leadership and commitment.
- Learn about a new initiative, CAP-2030, that was born out of a World Health Organization-UNICEF-Lancet Commission, A future for the world’s children?
- Discover the nine countries where CAP-2030 will be supporting innovative work for children.
- View the world premiere of a documentary film on the new threats to children’s health.
Dr. Alice Roberts, Professor of Public Engagement in Science, University of Birmingham, will moderate the session.
