Event description

Description

Funding Information day for ODA research at Oxford

To further support Oxford University’s continued contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Official Development Assistance (ODA) research, We will be holding a funding day to highlight the many avenues of funding available for researchers and practitioners. In addition we will be showcasing some of the work ongoing at the University in and with the Global South.

The event will be aimed at enabling researchers to work on challenges relevant to the Global South. There will be an opportunity to hear from funders (not just the Research Councils) about what research they fund and to meet other academic and practitioners already working or looking to work in this area.

We currently have confirmed speakers from RCUK, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation , The Global Innovation Fund, DFID, The Welcome Trust and the Royal Academy of Engineering with more to follow. In addition there will be a number of NGOs in attendance.

Due to limited space we are currently only accepting expression of interest to attend, and priority will be given to those people in a position to be involved in projects. External academics can attend but only if they are a key collaborator with an Oxford academic.
