Description

Plants have always travelled, but the advent of globalisation has greatly speeded up and extended the range of this process. We will explore this by looking at globetrotting plants in the Cemetery Park, both British native plants which have travelled elsewhere such as Great Plantain, Garlic Mustard, Blackberry, and White Clover. Others have come to Britain such as Japanese Knotweed, Canadian Goldenrod and Evening Primrose.

Event Leader: Terry Lyle is a botanist who has over 20 years experience of environmental education in Tower Hamlets.
