Gloucester City and Docks Walking Tour
Gloucester Branch invite you to come along and join us for a tour of Gloucester’s historic sites and history leading to the Waterways Museum, Docks and Quays area.
Learn about Gloucester's redevelopment and regeneration through the ages, from when the Roman soldiers arrived two thousand years ago to the present day. How Westgate Street was redeveloped during the medieval period as was Gloucester Docks both during the Elizabethan period through to the recent past with the retails complex that is Gloucester Quays.
Tour members will not miss out on any of the city's wonderful heritage and the guide will talk about such sites as Robert Raikes House, 26 Westgate Street, Tommy Nielson's dry docks and more.
Agenda: The tour will leave from St Michael’s Tower in the city centre, and will last for approx 2 hours.
Pay and display off site (up to 18.00, then free).
