ALERT!! The road signs aren’t the most accurate and we’ve found two similar but different postcodes for this venue. We recommend you use what3words: highs.robots.foods which will take you directly to the main access point where tickets will be checked (and can be purchased). Coming from the docks, Sudmeadow Road is opposite Segunda Priory, off Llanthony Road. Over St Ann’s Bridge by Next, or over Llanthony Bridge, at the lock end of the docks, will both work and are no more than an 800m walk to GCAFC (more detail is in the ACCESS/PARKING/TICKETING section, below).

FOR THE FIRST TIME, CHASE LANE FIREWORKS EVENTS AND DISPLAYS ARE BRINGING THEIR TRADEMARK SEASONAL CRAZINESS TO GLOUCESTER CITY AFC – LET’S PARTY!!

Welcome, everybody, to a brand new experience at the tremendous TigerTurf Stadium, home to Gloucester City AFC (GCAFC), the perfect setting for the biggest party of the season!

Chase Lane Fireworks Events and Displays (CLFED) of Gloucester are super-proud to bring one of their not-to-be-missed family events to this perfect setting, right in the heart of Hempsted. First up, we would like to thank the GCAFC Board and Operations Team for allowing us to bring this awesome event to their venue.

All the usual CLFED crazy fun will be on offer, culminating with a 10-minute Chase Lane Fireworks pyro-musical display, choreographed to a mash-up of all the December seasonal favourites to send everyone home with sackfuls of Christmas cheer, mile-wide smiles and goodwill in their hearts!!!

Event Highlights:

🦌CUTER-THAN-IMAGINABLE ARE VISITING TOO!! – Two reindeer from Smart Trees will be with us on site from the time the gates open until 6.00pm (a full 45 minutes before any fireworks are launched).

🎡FUNFAIR, SWEETS AND TREATS!! – The entire event will be supported by the outstanding Angus Pedrick funfairs, whose rides will be open from opening until closing time!! There will be something for everyone here – from smaller rides for our younger guests to the full-on adrenalin-pumping, heart-racing thrills and spills of the much larger rides.

🌨️ SNOW MACHINES!! – Kids: expect to get showered in “snow” with the snow machines that will be there thanks to Matt Major of Major Entertainments Ltd.

🎵 🎤🎸 ALL NIGHT MUSIC AND SOUNDS!! – Matt will also be providing seasonal sounds throughout the event with his fantastic stage-system. Dance and sing along and bounce about like you really mean it!

📍LASER SHOW!! – This event really is the gift that keeps on giving!! Matt will be lighting up the skies, in between the fireworks displays with a 10-minute, seasonal laser show to wow all our guests, young and old! This will start at approximately 7.30pm. WARNING: lasers can have a damaging or adverse effect on the eyes, particularly for those people with very sensitive eyes or for those who look directly at them. For those who do, or think they may, suffer from epilepsy, this is a good time to spend 10 minutes looking the other way!

🎆TWO UNFORGETTABLE FIREWORK DISPLAYS – At 6.45pm, there will be a 6-minute, lower-noise show for our very young guests. Watch their faces light up at this beautiful display! This is suitable for absolutely anybody – the very young, the very old, the infirm and for those who might otherwise be adversely affected by the monster show that will follow at 8.15pm. Those with learning difficulties or other syndromes (for example ADHD, autism, PTSD etc) that may be triggered by this, we don’t think this first show should be an issue; however, we will leave it to the judgment of their carers/parents/guardians to make the call.

Stand by for the biggie at 8.15pm, once the laser show is over and the CLFED crew have had a chance to clear up after the lower-noise kids show. Our guests will be treated to a 10-minute, pyro-musical extravaganza set to a mash-up of all the usual seasonal culprits! This will fire at 8.15pm, after the laser show has finished. For those who feel they do not want to experience the full-force display, there will be plenty of time to retreat to a quieter and safer area, further away from the main spectator area, or to leave the site altogether.

Please be advised - this second display will be loud, very loud in places. For the very young who have stayed on after the first show, we do recommend bringing some form of ear defence (in places, it will feel like we've created the most colourful and amazing thunder!). We want everyone to enjoy themselves, but do understand that some people can be negatively affected by the louder shells when they break at altitude. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take all necessary precautions to protect the vulnerable!

🍔 🍺 FOOD AND DRINK – A large selection of superb food and drinks will be available, on sale from around the various stalls within the spectators’ areas, all provided by GCAFC!!

🥂🍷🍺PLEASE NOTE – THIS IS NOT A DRY EVENT. THERE WILL BE ALCOHOL FOR SALE AT THE VARIOUS OUTLETS. HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: DRUNKEN AND/OR OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOUR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT – PLEASE DON’T SPOIL IT FOR OTHERS BY “OVERDOING” IT……. AND BEING REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES.🥂🍷🍺

🎟️ 🎟️ACCESS/PARKING/TICKETING - TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT ARE AVAILABLE, PRE-BOOKED THROUGH THIS PLATFORM. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST, MOST RECOMMENDED (AND CHEAPEST!) OPTION. THE GATE STAFF WILL BE EQUIPPED TO TAKE PAYMENTS FROM WALK-INS AND HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.

!!THERE IS NO PARKING ON-SITE AT THIS EVENT!!

CLFED recommends using the ample car parks near to GCAFC, around the Quays area. One great thing to note about this event, is that it coincides with the last day of the Christmas Market in the Quays. For those visitors with laudable green credentials, or for those who fancy a drink (and waking up complete with their driving licences 😉), the ground really is only a short walk from the Quays, or if coming from the City centre, there are regular No 8 and No 11 Stagecoach bus services from the Bus Hub to various stops within a minute or two’s walk from the stadium.

THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF MARSHALS AND SIA-TRAINED OPERATORS ON HAND TO ASSIST OUR VISITORS. PLEASE FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS - THEY ARE THERE TO HELP, NOT HINDER! RUDE AND ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS THEM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND OFFENDERS CAN EXPECT TO BE TURNED AWAY!!!

There will be the facility to allow drop-off for taxi/minibus/private car disabled passengers, but it will be a fair way back down toward Sunmeadow Road. The roads will be very busy with vehicular traffic – be very careful out there!
