About this event

Join us for an uplifting day of dance, creativity, and community. Whether you're a seasoned dancer, a curious beginner, or simply love to watch and be inspired, there's something for everyone!

This is an event open to all ages and abilities – no experience needed, just a love of dance and movement!

(10am-1pm: Exclusive workshop with Nua Dance!!!)

11am - 4pm: Dance Film Festival in the Gloucester Guildhall Beautiful Cinema - come in and out whenver you like

11am-4pm: Workshops, taster sessions and performances take over the entire Guildhall! Every 30 minutes you can try something new, watch something incredible, chat to some artists, teachers or producers.

Throughout the day you can also stop by the stalls and stands and see what is on offer, or buy some cute dancewear.

The Guildhall cafe wil be open so join us for some yummy coffee and cake.

There are also 2 exhibitions in the space from Your Next Move and Bodyscape Dance!

You can also catch any of the Dance in Gloucestershire Collective, escape to our Quiet Space or ge some fresh air and catch some breakin' out on the street.

Can I bring my kids?

Gloucestershire Dance Day is kid-friendly and welcomes families! Children 14 & under must attend and be with a guardian. Some workshops are 16+ or 18+, these will be clearly marked.

How do I get there by public transport?

Gloucester Train Station is only 8 minutes walk away. The nearest bus stop to the venue is outside Boots, and Gloucester Transport Hub is only a 5 minute walk from the Guildhall.

How do I get there by bicycle?

There is on-street bicycle parking outside Boots on Eastgate Street.

Where is the best place to park?

The Guildhall is accessible from the Kings Walk car park. There is accessible parking available and an access ramp from the car park to the entrance of the building. Kings Walk car park address: Kings Walk, Gloucester, GL1 1EA

Can I get drinks and snacks?

Yes! The Guildhall has a really lovely cafe where you will be able to get drinks and snacks throughout the day. Free water is available the whole day.
