Gloucestershire Green Circle - CHRISTMAS SOCIAL at Stroud Brewery
Event Information
About this Event
CHRISTMAS SOCIAL at Stroud Brewery
Date and time: Thursday 12th Dec, 4.30-6.30pm
Venue: Stroud Brewery, Kingfisher Business Park, London Road, Thrupp, Stroud, GL5 2BY
We're dreaming of a green Christmas.... but until that day arrives, why not join us for what will possibly be the greenest Christmas 'do' you'll go to this year. Join like-minded businesses that are striving to be more sustainable, and have a drink or two at a brewery that already is, believe it or not. Stroud Brewery operates in such a sustainable way that it's a certified B Corporation (companies that meet high standards of green-ness, see https://bcorporation.uk/). Using organic ingredients, renewable energy, and local suppliers; by supporting community projects and being a hub for the local social life, Stroud Brewery demonstrates perfectly how profit and purpose can be combined. Come and find out more. The beer tastes fantastic, too! (Soft drinks and tea/coffee will also be available).
During the event, we'll hear stories of the journey towards being greener from businesses already heading down that path. Plus if you bring an idea for how to achieve a greener Christmas or wear a Christmas jumper that you've bought from a charity shop (and can prove it), you'll be entered into a prize draw!
The event will also be supporting a local green good cause - half of the ticket price will go to Stroud District Action on Plastic (SDAP). This is a local group working with both community and businesses to find ways to eliminate single-use plastic. SDAP is working with support from national charity, Surfers Against Sewage, to spread the work they've been doing in Stroud district to the whole county.
So have a 'green' beer, swop ideas, share solutions, find new clients and have some fun before heading to the voting booth (if you haven't already) at Gloucestershire Green Circle's Christmas Social.
Gloucestershire Green Circle is a new forum offering businesses practical advice, up-to-date information, support and networking focusing upon sustainability and green growth. If your company wants:
- advice about greener ways of operating (to optimise its existing green operations)
- to share its existing green good practise
- more customers for its greener products and services
- add momentum to an inclusive and sustainable economy
…come along to Gloucestershire Green Circle meetings to share, learn, network and be inspired as part of growing a greener economy for the county.
This new networking group is being organised by three sustainability professionals based in the county: Caroline Aistrop of Green Spark Marketing (www.greensparkmarketing.co.uk), David Trevelyan of Sustain You (www.sustainyou.co.uk) and Kath Child of Invivo (www.invivohealthcare.com).
