Glow Neon Fun Run - Edinburgh 2014
Saturday, 25 October 2014 from 19:00 to 22:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
We are delighted to announce that Glow Neon Fun Run is coming to Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh.
What is Glow? Glow Neon Fun Run is a 3k event with a bit of a difference.......
Inspired by the colourful full moon parties held in Thailand, Glow Neon Fun Run will take place when the sun has gone down. Participants will run or walk the 3km distance at the fabulous facilities of this famous international athletics stadium. But that’s just where the fun begins; the runners will also be sprayed along the way by cannons filled with luminous glo-water. To really create that party feeling, there will be a huge sound system and DJ’s there to motivate the runners as they pass! Remember that you don’t have to be an experienced runner, as you can also walk, dance or even moonwalk around the track!
Participation will take place in phased time slots. Your registration and participation time will be advised shortly before the event and will be indicated by coloured, Glow Neon Fun Run 2014 event wrist bands, which you get to keep.
Dress in white for the best luminous experience as you pass by UV lighting. There will also be a special Glow Zone for fun and post event photographs.
This event really is unique in the UK and will simulate the challenges of those who experience sight loss and sensory impairment. The venue is fully accessible to blind and partially sighted participants. Guiding co-runners can be provided for this event.
Glow is open to everyone who is ten years old and above. Those aged 10-16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. See the payments page for details of our students and younger persons registration requirements.
Full event information will be sent to participants following registration.
If you have any questions though just email firstname.lastname@example.org before registering and one of the Glow team will contact you.
Come and Glow....the best fun you will have on an athletics track this year!
