Glut Club
A bi-weekly pickle evening, transforming surplus, sharing knowledge, deep fermentation chats, creating community through food production
About this event
Pictured above is an experimental ferment from last year. Our Bananamel was very popular when we brought it to market, and it all started with a glut and an idea. That’s the way the GLUT CLUBs will work, a group of people coming together to tackle food surplus and turn it into little jar sized portions, finding fun ways to transform fruit and veg.
The clubs are for anyone; from those just getting interested in the world of fermentation and preserving to those pickle ninjas.
You’ll get to take home some of our creations and the evening will be fuelled with vegan food made at Foodhall. To cover the costs involved in this we are suggesting a donation of £8, but please don't let that be a barrier, all contributions welcome.
Once you come along to one Glut Club you will get the chance to get more involved with the Social Pickle community in other ways too if that is what you fancy :)
We have three dates lined up before the Christmas break, so if you could just sign up to one to begin with to allow others the chance, then closer to the time if there are still spots available, please do come to more! We dream of the (near?) future when capacities and numbers don't have to be considered!! Equally, if you've booked a spot but can no longer make it, please cancel your ticket/let us know so we can have someone else come along!
Yours in brine,
Social Pickle
