GM AHSN Patient Safety Collaborative – Resilience

The Improvement Practitioner modules have been co-designed with members and partners based upon the needs and challenges that they are facing in understanding and improving the culture of safety within their organisations. We believe that addressing behaviours, understanding safety cultures and measuring impact are key components of any safety improvement plans and can be referenced within your ‘Sign Up To Safety’ plans.
Who is this event aimed at?
The Greater Manchester Academic Health Science Network have commissioned this 1 day course as part of their Patient Safety Collaborative Programme, supporting improvements in patient safety across the region.
Resilience is a key component underpinning the structures, practices and behaviours needed for staff and organisations to be transparent, open and honest. This session is designed to support your development as a resilient individual and translating this resilience into an organisational context to support needs of highly reliability and safety-focused organisation.
What will attendees learn this event / workshop?
Know what personal resilience is and why it is important
Have an awareness of your resilience and how this impacts you and others
Understand the link between pressure and performance
Raise awareness of different personality preferences
Learn tools and techniques to reduce stress and build personal resilience
