Tickets cost £50 for Guildmen, and £30 for Apprentices; online ticket sales will end on Friday 16th June, and refunds will not be possible beyond this date. Drinks during the reception, and a glass of wine during the meal are included in the ticket price, and there will be a cash bar until the end of the evening. About the venue

The HAC is unlike any other City venue; a magnificent Georgian house set in a five acre garden hidden away in a quiet location just a couple of minutes' walk from Moorgate. The HAC is the London home of the Honourable Artillery Company, a charity incorporated by Henry VIII in 1537 whose primary purpose is the support of the Regiment which bears its name.

The HAC Estate consists of Armoury House, an 18th Century mansion brimming with the Company's long and rich history. The Prince Consort Rooms, incorporating the Albert Room, were originally built as a drill hall in 1862 in memory of Prince Albert, the HAC’s Captain-General. The Lord Mayors Show houses their horses at HAC each year, and a large dinner is enjoyed by Pikemen and Musketeers and other honourable guests. The Company of Pikemen & Musketeers is a ceremonial unit, dressed and equipped as members of the Company would have been in the 1640s, and tasked with providing a ceremonial bodyguard for the Lord Mayor of the City of London and escorting him when he is on official business. These duties are primarily at Guildhall and Mansion house but also at livery halls and other City events. The Company also provides guards of honour and carpet guards at Armoury House when guests are being entertained.

About the Guild

The Guild of Mercers' Scholars was established in June 1947 as the Civic Guild of Old Mercers by ex-pupils of Mercers' School. Its aim was to encourage former pupils of the Mercers' School to become Freemen of the City of London, and Liverymen: and to select, if possible, a Livery Company appropriate to their own trade or profession. The Guild is run along the same lines as a Livery Company. When the Mercers' School closed in 1959 it was decided to extend membership to former pupils from other schools in the Mercers' Cluster keeping its main aims and objectives. Membership now includes pupils from the following schools: Abingdon School, Dauntsey's School, St Paul's Boys School, St Paul's Girls School and Thomas Telford School, Walsall Academy and the Colleges of Richard Collyer and Peter Symonds. Support and mentoring for Apprentices is fundamental to the Guild's activities through Apprentice Masters, and we welcome and encourage them to attend as well as our Guild members at this historic event.
