Enterprise Nation's small business trade mission to Hong Kong & China is the final international mission of 2016 in a programme of five.
The trip, part of our Go Global programme, is retail focused and offers UK business owners the exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in the Chinese market during the world’s biggest online shopping day of the year, Singles' Day!
The programme also includes the chance to meet with distributors, agents, online marketplaces, expert export advisers and key contracts in the region to help you discover, explore and successfully enter the Chinese market.
China is the world's second largest economy and now the world’s largest market for groceries, luxury goods and e-commerce. A market where 55,000 babies are born every day, 10 million weddings take place every year and 100 million shoppers come out on one day to shop on 'Singles' Day'! That's a lot of gifts, fashion, food, baby clothes and 'I'm single' presents to be bought!
Key opportunities for UK businesses, as outlined by the China Britain Business Council, in the Chinese market are selling products on one of China’s e-commerce platforms, promoting products on Chinese social media platforms, luxury fashion and food and drink sectors. It’s an ideal environment for UK retail businesses to look to as an export market.
The five day, four-night mission from 9-14 November is open to just 30 individuals. The programme includes visits to Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou and features practical workshops on doing business in China from HSBC, Invest HK, KPMG, LNP China and more, networking events with local entrepreneurs, meet the buyer and meet the manufacturer sessions, cultural excursions in Guangzhou and Hong Kong and the opportunity to take part in a Go Global pop-up store to showcase your products to local nationals and invited guests.
