🌱 GO GREEN: NETWALKING – Water & Wellbeing 💧🌿


Join us for an uplifting Netwalking event exploring the powerful connection between water, wellbeing, and the natural spaces throughout our community. This interactive session combines gentle walking with meaningful conversations about how our environment influences our physical and mental health. Starting from Edmunds Restaurant, we will take a guided stroll through Tayfen Meadow, offering space for reflection, shared insights, and relaxed networking in nature.

Time: 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm


This community-focused event aims to:

Explore Health & Wellbeing – Discuss how movement, nature, and mindful moments support wellbeing and everyday resilience.
Connect to Local Nature – Discover the role water and natural landscapes play in our health, local ecosystems, and community spaces.
Understand the Importance of Water – Consider the value of water in our daily lives, from conservation and responsible consumption to developing water literacy and recognising future challenges in supply and sustainability.
Enjoy Active Networking – Meet others from across health, sport, community, and sustainability interests during a relaxed outdoor walk.

(Further guest speakers and contributors from health, sport, and local nature organisations are being finalised and will be confirmed closer to the event.)


Event Schedule

The event will begin at 4:30 pm with light refreshments and an opportunity to meet other attendees. At 5:00 pm we will then head out for a gentle Netwalk around Tayfen Meadow, with pauses for guided discussions along the route. The session will finish back at Edmunds Restaurant with time for dinner, informal conversations and reflections.

Venue Information

This event will start and finish at Edmunds Restaurant, West Suffolk College. Free parking is available in the main West Suffolk College car park (access via Beetons Way). A direct entrance to Edmunds Restaurant is located midway through the car park.

Refreshments

Light refreshments will be provided before and after the walk. Please contact emily.streatfeild@easterneducationgroup.ac.uk for any specific dietary requirements.
