Tweedale Youth Action have great pleasure inviting some stellar comedians to join us at our Go Green on the Green event. All part of our efforts to make climate challenge fun and engaging.
Viv Gee is a stand-up comedian, performance poet and actor. As well as a regular clubbing comic she is resident MC at Yesbar Comedy Club in Glasgow and has also compered many events including T in the Park, Maydaze and Glasgow’s New Year Celebrations. She was also a finalist in Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny and the BBC Open Mic Awards.
TV and Radio appearances include Lorraine Kelly’s Make Me Happier STV, Stake Out, Hedz, River City, Revolver, The Key, Velvet Soup, Fred Macaulay Show, Cover Stories, Comedy Café, Velvet Cabaret all for BBC and The Gates, a six part sketch show which she co wrote and performed on BBC Radio Scotland.
At the first Scottish Comedy Awards in 2014 she won the award for Outstanding Contribution to Scottish Comedy.
Last year she had one of her poems embedded into stone at Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow

Marc Jennings started life as a comedian back in 2013 and has since become one of the most promising new acts in Scotland. The English Literature graduate from Clydebank now regularly plays clubs up and down the UK, and in 2015 was selected for the BBC’s New Comedy Award competition as well as being nominated for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards. Marc is also part of the popular sketch troupe SCRAM!, has written and produced his own 30 minute political-mockumentary Party On, not to mention having written and starred in a viral video that’s had well over a million views.
Come along and join us on the 23rd October for some laughter, great food, upcycled fashion show and crafts, trials riding, other bike fun and lots of fabulous climate challenge related things.
