  • Go ON Digital Inclusion Partnership Meeting

This partnership meeting for Go ON Digital Inclusion. All organisations interested in the aims of improving digital inclusion and equipping people with basic online skills are welcome to attend. Each quarterly meeting is generously hosted by a partner organisation. This one is hosted by Wigan Council

The meeting starts at 10am (arrivals from 9:30am) and will end at 1.30pm with Lunch.

Go ON is an initiative that brings together local government, charities, banks, trade unions, among other sectors, to share their experiences of promoting digital inclusion and identify ways of resolving digital exclusion. 

  • What's on the agenda?

We are all tasked with encouraging and helping people to overcome their digital challenges and get online, digital inclusion is high on everyone’s agenda but what makes a successful Get Online Campaign/Event. We will be sharing successes and Insights and perspectives on the latest digital inclusion initiatives.

Speakers are being confirmed and will be announced ahead of the event, so watch this space! Email notification will also be sent to all those registered to attend.  

More about the meeting

This roundtable event brings together anything from 15 to 35 colleagues, depending on the venue, from an array of public and private organisations. Attendees get the chance to talk about the latest achievements or challenges they’ve had within the scope of digital inclusion/exclusion.

The event is facilitated by iNetwork. The participatory format allows for focused discussions to take place and offers a variety of speakers the chance to showcase any relevant work or ideas to the group. A light lunch is provided and a mutually beneficial experience is guaranteed for all those in attendance. Presentations and highlights from the meeting are posted on Knowledge Hub, which enables further exposure throughout iNetwork membership.

Who should attend

This event is not limited to iNetwork members. The event is open to any organisation who is interested in working collaboratively to promote the digital inclusion agenda. The event is open to anybody from the local, public, private or third sector.

Polite Notices

Registration: There are a few questions as part of the registration process - you will be given the opportunity to request CPD etc. 

Special/ Dietary Requirements: You will be asked to specify if you have any special or MEDICALLY RELATED dietary requirements when completing the registration form. 

Please note: We cater for vegetarian option as standard at all our events. This does not have to be specially requested. 

Cancellations:  If you plan to attend, please register no later than 5 working days before the event in order that we may confirm numbers with the venue. Please let us know in plenty of time if you have booked onto the event but cannot attend by emailing catherine.oneill@tameside.gov.uk No cancellation charges apply, however, each no-show or last minute cancellations are costly, using funds that cannot be recouped. Sufficient notice [at least 7 days in advance - which is the minimum notification for most venues] or delegate substitution with a colleague is much appreciated.

 

Name badges will be printed according to the information that is entered on the registration screen. Please ensure you use proper case. If you are registering for other people please enter their full details otherwise they will not have name badges.
