What to expect

The themes for this trip is Space - where we find it, how we create it and how the architecture of a space shapes our creative practice. A full day trip to Sheffield where you will:

• Connect with artists in Sheffield
• Learn about the studio and exhibition spaces in Sheffield
• Meet the owners and curators of these spaces
• Ask ‘what is Sheffield doing that we can bring to Grimsby?’

You will a free train ticket to and from Sheffield, free lunch and a guided tour of the creative hotspots in Sheffield led by Sam Dunstan and Jon Orlek. For those who are self-employed, we can also offer a financial stipend of £60.

Itinerary

8:30 - Train departs from Grimsby Town station to Sheffield

10:10 - Arrival at Sheffield, with Sam and Jon meeting you at the station

10:30 - Visit 1

11:30 - Visit 2

12:30 - Lunch, featuring invited artists from across Sheffield

14:00 - Visit 3

15:00 - Visit 4

16:00 - Visit 5

17:00 - Train departs from Sheffield to Grimsby Town

18:40 - Arrive back at Grimsby Town Station
