About this event
This half-day Somatic Goddess Retreat is all about connecting to your inner goddess. You will be empowering yourself by reconnecting to your body through somatic practices. In reconnecting to your body, you will be reconnecting to your soul, the goddess that lives within you. You will release narratives that the ego wants to tell you and instead welcome in your authentic self. You'll also be shifting any stuck or stagnant energy that's trapped in the body, causing discomfort or dis-ease.
After the Goddess Retreat, you will leave feeling stronger, more resilient and able to think more rationally. You'll feel less anxious and worried. You'll feel a warmth having been held in the community of like-minded individuals. Most importantly, you will feel calmer, relaxed and more connected to yourself.
The day will use a combination of somatic practices as well as drawing upon a transpersonal approach to healing. This retreat is delivered by Katie from KatieHart.JustBreathe. She is an accredited member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies and a student member of UKCP. Her certification is in Trauma-Informed Breathwork and Laughter Yoga. Katie is a 10th-generation Reiki Master. She is currently training to be an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist at the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy Education.

Frequently asked questions
You may wish to bring your own yoga mat, a journal, water and an eye mask. A yoga mat and eye mask will be provided on the day but you may wish to bring your own.
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in.
There are a few things you can do to prepare for the retreat. Try to avoid caffeine on the day. Try to avoid alcohol 24 hours beforehand. Avoid eating a big or heavy meal just before arriving. Try not to plan anything too hectic or busy in the evening, as you may need time to integrate.
There is free parking at The Wellness Barn. You can arrive by train via Mortimer Station. Once at the station, you will need to get a taxi to the venue.
