Event description
Join us for our next online seasonal ceremony, to celebrate Imbolc and the Maiden Goddess.

About this Event

Join us for our next online seasonal ceremony on Monday 1st February 2021, to celebrate Imbolc and the Flame Maiden Goddess.

Imbolc is the first of the cross-quarter festivals in the pagan Wheel of the Year, celebrated on or around 1st February. As the new shoots and buds of spring awaken, we call on the Maiden Goddess and Her healing flame to bless our lives and all of our visions and dreams for the year to come.

We invite you to join us for an evening of songs, chant and ceremony to celebrate the Maiden Goddess at Imbolc, held by Priestesses and Priests of Goddess and of Avalon from the Glastonbury Goddess Temple.

This ceremony will be hosted by Priestesses and Priests of Avalon both streaming live from the sacred land, Glastonbury, the Isle of Avalon, and from their homes around the world.

The ceremony will be online via Zoom - a link will be sent out to participants upon registration.

Ceremony donation:

We are asking for a donation of £5 for this ceremony, which will help us to cover the administrative costs of keeping our Temple activities going. We are very grateful for all of your donations. We recognise that many are financially struggling at this time, and want to make sure the ceremony is as accessible as it can be for people, hence we have kept the cost as low as possible.

Goddess Temple Air Madrons can attend this ceremony for FREE! Sign up here.

At Imbolc we will begin a new cycle of seasonal ceremonies working with the Lady of Avalon in Her aspects as gatekeeper to the mysteries of Avalon, and to the mysteries of our own souls.

The Lady of Avalon is the focal Goddess of the Glastonbury Goddess Temple. In particular, we will be working with Her sacred tools of mist, mirror and flame this year. The Flame of Avalon is a perpetual flame held by many flamekeepers around the world, originating in the Glastonbury Goddess Temple, and we will be honouring the different faces of the flame this year. You can read more about the Flame of Avalon here.

"The Flame from the heart of Avalon holds the energies of the Beltane and Samhain fires that still burn in Brigit’s Isles, of the need-fire that was once lit to restore the life-blood of this sacred landscape, of the Dragon energy that pulses in the earth beneath, of the star-fire of Artha and the sun-fire of Grainne, of the gentle and transforming fire of Brighid, of the passion and sovereignty of Rhiannon, of the flame that burns in the hearts of all the Goddesses of Avalon.

Anyone who chooses to tend the flame has a part to play in holding Her energies. Each of us will add our own energy to it as we work with it; as we do so the Flame will change and as the Flame changes so will we.”
