UCL IIPP’s mission is to change how public value is imagined, practised and evaluated to tackle societal challenges—and, by doing this, deliver economic growth that is innovation-led, sustainable and inclusive.

UCL IIPP is the host institution of SDSN UK, a network of UK-based universities which brings together and mobilises UK knowledge institutions around practical solutions that contribute to the implementation of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDSN UK is part of the SDSN Global, the only UN-mandated network of universities which mobilises the academic community to translate expertise into action to advance the SDGs.

The Sustainability and Resilience Institute at the University of Southampton, brings together colleagues and experts from around the world to tackle the most critical challenges facing society and our environment through evidence-based solutions and collaborative work. Sustainability is a pillar of the University of Southampton’s strategy and is purposefully engaged with the SDGs. Recent results show that around 30% of University of Southampton research outputs were coded to at least one (and sometimes multiple) with the highest proportion coded to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.

University of Strathclyde has sustainability at the heart of its Vision 2025. Through its Centre for Sustainable Development, it aims to bring a coherence to its global socially progressive vision, which is underpinned by the principles of the UN SDGs. This particularly focusses on the strategic themes of outstanding education and student experience, world leading research, transformative innovation and impact, global engagement and operational excellence.
