Matt is a PhD student at Portsmouth, Expedition Doctor and paraglider pilot
Lucy is a physiological ecologist whose work focuses on the costs and drivers of migration in vertebrates
Together they will be talking about the physiology of birds who fly at the limits of altitude and endurance, and the humans who try to mimic them. They will also discuss how bar-headed geese cross the Himalayas, tolerating hypoxia, and the history and challenges of human free flight.
