About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

Can you tell your Riesling from your Rioja, or sniff out the Cabernet Sauvignon from amongst the Syrah? For our special bank holiday blind tasting, we'll be pouring seven undisclosed wines, and asking you to guess what you think they are. Come put your senses to the test, no prior experience necessary!

Runner Duck's wine tastings are laid back, informal, and dead good fun. We welcome all calibre of wine lovers, even if you think you know nothing about wine.

Doors open at 12:30pm. The event starts once everyone has arrived, or at 1pm, whichever comes first. The event is expected to run until 3pm.

If you have a wine tasting voucher you'd like to use to attend this event, please contact the venue directly.

This is a ticketed event with a limited capacity. A ticket must be purchased to attend.

For obvious reasons, this is an 18+ event. Runner Duck operates a Challenge 25 policy. You may be asked to provide ID on entry to the event if you are lucky enough to look under 25.

On occasion, we may take photos and film short clips of the tasting (without audio) to use for marketing purposes across our social media and website. By purchasing a ticket you consent to being photographed and filmed whilst in the premises.

Frequently asked questions

Can I attend this event without participating in the tasting?

We would advise skipping this event if you are not interested in participating in the tasting. We do not offer alternative drinks for attendees who do not like wine. If you are sure you want to attend this event but not participate, you still need to purchase a ticket.

Do you serve food?

We have a small deli serving cheese and charcuterie boards, and other nibbles. We do not usually serve food during the tasting, however, the deli will reopen as soon as the tasting is over. You can pre order a board for after the tasting by emailing contact@runnerducklancaster.co.uk

Are your tastings suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

The majority of wines on our tastings will be suitable for vegetarians/vegans, however, there will on occasion be some that are not. When this happens, we always make guests aware ahead of time, and offer a vegan alternative.

Is there a seating plan?

Yes. Our tastings often sell out and we use all available seats to fit everyone in comfortably. If you have booked your tickets separately from others in your group, you need to let us know so we can ensure you end up sitting with your party. You may be sharing your table with another group.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Well behaved dogs are welcome at our tastings.
