Description

An illustrated talk with reference to archive maps and other material. Suzanne Bingham takes a look Sheffield’s social and entertainment scene in the 19th Century. With local populations expanding rapidly, and the city changing shape, how, where and why did working class Victorian Sheffielders find their entertainment?

This event is part of our Mapping Sheffield season and accompanies the exhibition at Sheffield Central Library; running from the 1st of October until Christmas 2019.
