Description
Going viral: building social media buzz
This is a one-hour session revolving around the use of social media towards effective marketing campaigns.
You’ve got an idea, you’ve got a product and now you need an audience.
Many start-ups struggle to find initial traction with consumers and can go months and even years before attracting significant attention. While not a panacea, a successful social campaign can be an incredibly effective way to promote your business and build your brand.
In this interactive workshop Tom Hewitson of Lucid Media will show you the basics of developing a results-driven social media strategy and demonstrate some of the tricks and tools of the industry.
Attendees will be asked to form teams of four or five and create and implement a social media campaign for a hypothetical business with an opportunity to pitch and evaluate ideas at the end of the session.
Important Information for this session - BYOD - Bring Your Own Device
It would be helpful if people could bring a laptop or tablet so they can take part in creating a practice social media campaign.
