Welcome to your 01Founders Onboarding!

This in-person event is the final, mandatory step to secure your place in the upcoming GoLang Piscine. Please read all the information below carefully to understand the timeline and what is required of you on the day.

To ensure everyone is clear on the next steps, here is your timeline:

1. Onboarding Day: Thursday, August 28th, 2025 (This Event)

2. Course Start Date: Monday, September 15th, 2025

This event on Thursday 28th is where you will finalize your enrolment. The actual multi-week course will begin on September 15th.

Punctuality is essential. The session begins promptly at 11:00 AM. This is not a drop-in event, and late arrivals will miss crucial information and activities.

Schedule of Events (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

11:00 AM Sharp: Arrival & Welcome Arrive on time to get settled in. The first session will start without delay.

11:15 AM - 12:15 PM: Welcome Presentation: Your GoLang Roadmap Discover the full structure of the GoLang Piscine. We'll cover our unique learning methodology, key project milestones, and the path to our full-time program.

12:15 PM - 1:00 PM: The Selection Game & Q&AEngage your mind with the logic and memory challenges that are a cornerstone of the 01Founders experience and ask any final questions you may have.

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Mandatory Document CheckOur team will conduct the verification of your documents to finalise your enrolment.

Crucial: What You MUST Bring

To finalize your enrolment on your onboarding day, you are required to bring one of the following original documents with you.

Valid Passport

Proof of Income (e.g., recent payslip or benefits letter)

Proof of Right to Study in the UK (e.g., Biometric Residence Permit)

Please note: You will not be able to complete your enrolment without one of these documents and will not be able to start the course on Day 1.

About Your Course (Starts September 15th)

Ready to dive into Go, one of the most powerful and in-demand programming languages? This course is a multi-phased journey designed to build your skills from the ground up and provide a clear pathway for your future in tech.

The Course Structure:

Week 1: Teacher-Led Foundation (Sept 15th – 19th) Your first week is a teacher-led deep dive into the fundamentals of GoLang. This structured start ensures you have a solid base of knowledge before the real challenge begins.

Weeks 2-3: Peer-to-Peer Piscine (Sept 22nd – Oct 3rd) For the next two weeks, you’ll immerse yourself in our signature peer-to-peer environment. You will work collaboratively on projects, solve complex problems, and truly learn by doing. Upon successful completion of this 3-week course, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Optional Week 4: The Bridge to Our Fellowship For those who want to take their skills to the next level, a fourth week is available. This intensive, peer-to-peer week is your opportunity to qualify for our full-time Fellowship program and continue your journey to becoming a professional full-stack developer.

01Founders are leading a tech education revolution spotting untapped talent and welcoming everyone regardless of age, background, culture, or education offering companies the opportunity to recruit the next generation of a diverse workforce through the 01F apprenticeship scheme.

All apprentices have been hand-picked and will go through a robust selection pool process before gaining entry to 01F coding school where they will have exposure to at least 12 months of unique peer-to-peer pedagogy to learn technical and critical soft skills and a range of coding languages through projects and problem-solving before starting their apprenticeship with the employer.
