Gold Open Expedition : Friday 2nd to Monday 5th April 2021

We offer an open Gold package which allows you to complete your Assessment Expedition for the Gold award in 4 days. This is ideal if you don’t have a group to do your expedition with or can’t make your schools dates. We offer training based in Basildon, Essex, followed by a 3 day expedition.

Assessment Equipment :- You will carry out some planning in Basildon on Monday 22nd March 7.30pm till 8.30pm which is compulsory.

Dates:- You are paying for:-

Monday 22nd April- Expedition training - 7.30pm till 8.30pm

Expedition to Northdowns: 2nd-5th October 2020

Equipment lists

Camping fees for the practice expedition or qualifying expedition.

Free use of group equipment. Tents, Trangia stoves, maps, compass and fuel.

Comprehensive training covering all aspects of the DofE syllabus.

Consent form :-

After booking on and paying for your expedition you MUST send us a consent form 6 weeks before the event. We can not take young people without a consent form. Please email it over to info@mudandmaps.co.uk. Failure to attend the Training/ Route planning session will result in you not being able to attend the expedition.
