Gold Work Map Workshop
Overview
To round off the season we have this wonderfully festive afternoon workshop - an introduction to Gold Work embroidery and embellishment with Alexandra Hucks. This class is perfect for beginners as it's an informal and experimental session with creativity as the focus.
Our inspiration is Lewis & Wood's incredible Map fabric, a design rich in detail and colour. Alexandra will show you how to use gold work techniques including beading, chipping and couching to complement and enhance the fabric, for a beautifully decorative finish.
By the end of the session you'll have completed a small panel that's perfect for framing and would make a very special gift for someone this Christmas.
You are also very welcome to start a larger panel in the session and continue working on it at home.
Come and enjoy some festive stitching by the fireside with seasonal refreshments to accompany. We hope to see you there.
