Event description

Description

An inaugural lecture by Annette E. Götz, Professor of Palaeontology, University of Portsmouth

Climate change shapes our planet, its biodiversity and ecosystems today, as it has in the past. The study of fossil pollen serves to understand past climates and this lecture will highlight recent developments in palynological research, and how the palynological record is used to decipher climate change in deep time.

This lecture is part of the British Science Week UK's biggest celebration of science @ScienceWeekUK #BSW18
