Gong Bath at BEAM Hertford
A Gong Bath to get your rhythm back after the summer breaks. Get back in step.
Come join us at BEAM for a relaxing and rejuvenating gong bath experience in Social2 at BEAM. Let the soothing sounds of the gong wash over you, melting away the stress and tension, just bathing in the immersive vibrations of the gongs. This in-person event is the perfect opportunity to unwind and reset. It's like someone pressed the reset button on the computer and you can think clearer without the clutter of stress. Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of the gong and leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I look forward to welcoming you to this special evening.
We will start the evening of relaxation with a body scan mediatation before I play the Crystal and Himalayan bowls. Then it is the turn of the gongs to work their magic taking you to a deeply relaxed state. I then have some interesting chimes and nature sounds to raise you out of what is like a beautiful dream. When you come round from the deep relaxation, you float away for the rest of the evening, feeling reset and ready, forgetting about the worries of the day.
Bring a comfy mat, cushion and blanket to lay on the floor. It will be cosy but the more comfortable you are the more you will get from it. Top Tip - bring thick fluffy socks.
The Gongs are powerful and the vibrations strong. There are some conditions where it is considered that gong healing should be contraindicated. Please speak to me if you have any doubt.
These are:
Pregnancy, particularly the first three months due to the unstable nature of pregnancy at this time. From the first trimester onwards it is advised to sit at the back of the room where the strength of sound is lower.
Severe mental illness (psychosis, schizophrenia, alcoholism, drug dependence)
Severe osteoporosis
Recent operations with metal implants. The vibrations may be picked up by the implant and cause some discomfort.
Epilepsy, the sounds could trigger this.
People fitted with pacemakers. The sounds, if intense, can alter the rhythm.
Miniere’s disease - sound sensitive
Tinitus - I have tinnitus myself and while it sometimes gets worse after a gong bath it recovers, but everyone’s tinnitus is different so you will know the effect strong sounds can have on you and take the necessary precautions. Sometimes people use ear plugs to reduce the sound levels. The vibrations will still work on your body and relax you.
