Description

This is a practical hands on workshop for absolute beginners designed to take you to a place of competence and skill and it will be fun as well. No musical ability necessary, you will be introduced to basic gong playing.

We will start the day with a 30 minute gong immersion and will cover the following topics during the day

  • How to approach the gong
  • A brief history of the gong
  • The healing properties of the gong
  • The use of different mallets
  • Basic strokes for playing the gong

We will have 8 gongs to play with, 4 gongs 20” - 24” that can be used as handheld gongs and 4 larger gongs 32” - 38”.

The workshop is limited to max. 8 people to allow guided tuition.

Workshop fee £90 if paid directly into my account

or Eventbrite (£90 plus Eventbrite fee).

There will be a 45min break at lunchtime, please bring your own lunch. Refreshments will be provided.

Please bring a mat, blanket and cushion for comfort and a water bottle if you have one.

This workshop isn’t suitable for pregnant women in their first trimester, this is meant as a precaution.
