Autism Social Commmunication Education and Training Service (ASCETS) offer Good Autism Practice for school based staff, as developed by the Autism Education Trust (AET). This session emphasises understanding each autistic individual’s unique strengths, interests, and challenges. It encourages creating inclusive, predictable, and supportive learning environments tailored to individual needs. The AET framework also promotes collaboration between educators, families, and professionals to ensure consistent and person-centred support. This session will focus on key theory and practical strategies.

The event says £75, put the booking page states it free?

As Sheffield City Council cannot collect payment via eventbrite - and therefore invoice schools after the event. We can accept cancellations up to 24hr before, but 'no-shows' will be charged at full price.

I don't work in a school in Sheffield (i.e. I am a parent) can I still attend?

Sadly the answer is no, we are developing a parental course as we recognise the importance of this - however this course is written specifically for classroom practitioners.
