Good food for all Londoners: an invitation to City Hall
How are London boroughs promoting access to good food in London?
What more could boroughs do to ensure access for all?
Join Sustain and the GLA for the launch of three food initiatives.
- Beyond the Food Bank: London’s Food Poverty Profile 2016
- Good Food for London 2016
- Local Authority Declaration on Sugar Reduction and Healthier Food
The event will include a welcome address by the GLA, presentations highlighting the findings of the two new reports and recommendations for further action, experiences from London boroughs and the launch of a new initiative open to all London boroughs who want to act on sugar reduction and healthier food. There will also be a number of information stands covering specific initiatives.
It will be a fantastic opportunity to network and learn more about good food measures and organisations who support them including Sustain, the Soil Association, Compassion in World Farming, the Living Wage Foundation, UNICEF, Food Growing Schools: London, Healthy Schools London, the Fairtrade Foundation, Child Poverty Action Group, Heathy Start Alliance and the National Association of Care Catering.
We hope you can make it and please feel free to pass this invitation on to other colleagues working for heathier and better food for all.
Please register by the 21 October. After this date we will open registration to other participants.
