Good Game Dev Club is a free monthly games industry meetup which takes place at Loading Bar in Stoke Newington, London. The event is aimed at anyone who works in the games industry, or is trying to break in. Its open to anyone to make friends and help the community to be a good place to exist in.

Come talk game development, air your views about Unity licencing fees, discuss marketing strategy, celebrate the birth of a wave of new games journalism groups or discuss government games policy. It's all good.

Loading Bar has a load of games consoles setup with a monumental selection of games, the perfect place to talk games.

Good Game Dev Club is organised by Harvey Hayman, with the permission and blessing of Loading Bar. The event is not affiliated with any organisations. Please join the Discord and let Harvey know if you have any questions.

Good Game Dev Club takes place on the first Thursday of every month.

What is the accessibility of the venue?

Loading Bar has a disabled bathroom. The top bar is wheelchair friendly but the downstairs bar where the event takes place is not wheelchair accessible. Shoot me a message on the Discord if this is going to be a problem for you as I actively want to resolve this.

What happens at this event?

It's a meetup, there are no structured activities. You can chat, play games, have a drink and make some friends (or meet some old ones)

Who are you, why are you organising this?

I'm Harvey Hayman, a Game Designer and Developer who lives and works in London. I've ran the social events for a few organisations in the past and thought I'd have a go at setting up one for the games industry.

Why did you set up this event?

I thought it would be cool to have a game industry meet-up located in a video game bar!
