For Jimmy is very pleased to announce the opening of its second Good Hope café as part of PLACE Ladywell. To help us celebrate, we are inviting the local community and our supporters to join us on 8th December. The launch evening will also be a chance to learn more about the cafés mission and the role it will play supporting For Jimmy's work with young people in Lewisham. We'll also be showcasing our event space and community cinema that we'll be hiring out to local community groups and businesses.
Alongside a chance to see the space, we'll be providing free drinks and some delicious finger food from our new kitchen. As part of the evening, there will be some short speeches from Barry and Margaret Mizen. Bill Mizen, For Jimmy's CEO, will also be sharing the charities vision over the next three years to make Lewisham a place of peace and safety.
This event is open to everyone, however, please RSVP so we can confirm numbers for the evening.
Good Hope Ladywell
For Jimmy will be running the café and a community cinema that is based at the rear of the PLACE unit, this will also double up as an event space. The new café will offer further opportunities for the charity to open the space up for use by local community groups and individuals looking for event space in Lewisham.
For Jimmy partner with Drumbeat School and ASD Services to provide personalised placements for young people with Autism, enabling them to experience the workplace and acquire a range of essential skills. The café offers a fantastic new environment for those young people to experience and work within.
