Good Things Research Focus Group: AI and AI Gateway

By National Digital Inclusion Network
Online event

Overview

Join Good Things' research team for an online discussion on how hubs are supporting people to develop a basic understanding of AI.

This session will be an online focus group discussion, for staff / volunteers from hubs who support people with low digital skills. We’re keen to hear your experiences of supporting people with low digital skills to develop a basic understanding of AI, for example, through using Good Things Foundation’s AI Gateway resource.

We will explore:

How you’re supporting people to understand and / or use AI (including if you have used the AI Gateway)

Stories of impact from people receiving support with AI

What other resources would be helpful for supporting people with low digital skills to understand AI.

This session will feed into our ongoing research and evaluation at Good Things Foundation, and help to shape the development of future resources and guidance. We hope it will also be valuable for hubs to share and learn from each others’ experiences of supporting people around AI.

To ensure everyone can participate in the discussion, the session will be limited to a small number. Please come ready to share your experiences and insights!

Accessibility

Our Zoom events have closed captions enabled. To view captions during a meeting, select the “Show Captions” icon from the meeting controls toolbar.

We will send out slides and notes, including links to any resources or websites discussed during the event, to attendees afterwards.

If you need content in a more accessible format, or something to make the event itself more accessible, please email community@goodthingsfoundation.org. Please tell us what you need and we’ll contact you to discuss how we can help.

We recognise that some participants may wish to use AI recording or transcribing services. Unfortunately such services may record people’s name and/or image without their consent. In recognition of this we don’t allow the use of AI recording or transcribing services at our events. Regretfully, any automated requests during events will be declined.

Thank you for your understanding.
