About this event

Charity & Causes • Environment

Meet at the Montrose Museum for a walk to the Montrose Basin Visitor Centre. We'll be pointing out the wildlife we see along the way, talking about the history of pink-footed geese in Montrose, and how their numbers have changed over the years.

This is a mostly flat walk on pavements, with some uneven ground as we walk around "the back of the island" to look over to Rossie Spit.

At the end of the walk you can enjoy the visitor centre which has telescopes, a coffee shop, gift shop, kids corner, toilets, and lots of new interpretation about pink-footed geese.

This event is part of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's first ever GooseFest. Visit our website to explore more GooseFest events from 1-12 October.
