Event description

Description

Over the past forty years, Gordon Giltrap has graced the music business with his dedication to his craft and his affection for his audience. As one of the UK's most respected guitarists, he has consistently proved the adage that respect cannot be bought. It must be earned. This is a unique chance to see him up close.

Tickets are limited and history tells us they will sell out quickly. So don't miss out!.

There will be a bar open before the performance and at the interval, and copies of his new album will be on sale.

Gordon has said the venue is very special to him as he feels as though he is "amongst friends" which he will be.

We look forward to seeing you there. Doors open 19:30: Concert will start at 20:00.

Carrie Martin is a British acoustic guitarist, singer and songwriter from Hull in Yorkshire. Having given up music to raise a family she returned to writing, playing and singing encouraged by the noted acoustic guitarist Gordon Giltrap – she cites her meeting Gordon as the most important thing that has happened to her in her musical career. Her guitar playing has attracted sufficient attention for her to be recruited as an endorsee by Vintage guitars. Influenced by the likes of Eva Cassidy and Ann Wilson from Heart, her writing and performing style nevertheless defies categorisation. Her new album, "What If", signed by Trapeze Music, features Carrie on guitar and vocals, with guest appearances from Gordon Giltrap, Oliver Wakeman and Ric Sanders.
