Pre- and post- events...
There is an informal get together the evening before, for anyone who's in town for the event and at a loose end and/or wanting to connect with some of the #GCCY17 crowd informally beforehand: Friday 13th October from 6:30pm at Bar 33 (33 Windsor Place, Cardiff CF10 3BZ).
There is also an after party! As usual there will be (free) food and refreshments at World Of Boats which is a short distance from the Pierhead building - just keep your #GCCY17 lanyard on you to avail yourself of the delicious buffet and drinks of your choice. Saturday 14th October from 5:00 to 7:30pm at the Lookout Bar (the cafe at World of Boats next to the Dr Who Experience). After that, onwards to other venues in Bae Caerdydd!
Bilingual description, please scroll down for Welsh version.
GovCamp Cymru, the one day unconference about government and public services in Wales, is back for the fourth year running in 2017. It will take place in the Pierhead Building, Cardiff Bay, on Saturday 14th October 2017.
Use of the Pierhead Building venue is kindly sponsored by Adam Price AM.
What is a GovCamp and why should you attend?
A govcamp is an event, also known as an unconference, where the attendees lead the programme – there is a theme, or overarching question, but there is no detailed agenda until the start of the day when people make suggestions for what they’d like to talk about.
At GovCamp Cymru YOU set the agenda so…
. if you think there are things missing from the formal agendas
. if you think the standard policy conversations overlook important aspects of civic life
. if you can see things that need to be on decision-makers’ radars
This is YOUR time. Come and add your voice to the conversation.
Join people from across Wales who care about public services as much as you. Share the thoughts, experience and enthusiasm of over 120 people representing an extraordinary range of roles and organisations. It is open to everyone, from any sector, and professionals and citizens alike:
. Government, public service, and third sector employees - whether you are representing your employer or attending as an individual
. Elected representative and politicians - at any level
. Private sector organisations and freelancers - if you are linked in any way with government and/or public services
. Citizens, members of the public, everyone else! - As a citizen or resident of Wales, public services affect you, and your opinion and views matter. It is important that they get voiced. Please do come along and join in!
Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and will be released in 4 batches:

Beth yw ‘GovCamp’ a pham y dylen i fynychu?
Mae ‘govcamp’ yn fath o ddigwyddiad sydd hefyd yn cael ei galw yn ddigynhadledd, ble’r cyfranogwyr eu hunain sy’n arwain trefn y diwrnod - mae yna thema, neu brif gwestiwn, ond nid oes yna fanylion trylwyr ar yr agenda tan gychwyn y diwrnod pan mae pobl yn awgrymu beth hoffen nhw drafod –
Yn GovCamp Cymru CHI sy’n gyfrifol am yr agenda felly...
. Os ydych chi’n credu bod yna gyfleodd sydd yn cael eu colli o’r agendâu ffurfiol
. Os ydych chi'n meddwl bod trafodaethau polisi safonol yn esgeuluso agweddau pwysig o fywyd dinesig
. Os gallwch weld pethau sydd angen sylw pellach yn y sector cyhoeddus
Yna NAWR yw’r amser. Dewch i ychwanegu eich llais at y sgwrs.
Ymunwch â phobl o dros Gymru gyfan sydd yn rhannu eich gofid am safon gwasanaethau cyhoeddus. Gwrandewch ar syniadau, profiadau a brwdfrydedd dros 120 o bobl sy'n cynrychioli ystod ryfeddol o rolau a sefydliadau. Mae'n agored i bawb, o unrhyw sector, boed yn weithwyr proffesiynol neu ddinasyddion:

. Cynrychiolydd etholedig a gwleidyddion - o unrhyw lefel
. Sefydliadau yn y sector preifat a gweithwyr llawrydd - os ydych yn gysylltiedig mewn unrhyw ffordd â Llywodraeth a/neu wasanaethau cyhoeddus
. Dinasyddion, aelodau o'r cyhoedd, pawb arall! - Fel dinesydd neu un sy'n byw yng Nghymru, mae gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yn eich effeithio chi, ac mae eich barn a sylwadau yn bwysig i ni. Mae'n bwysig eu bod yn cael eu clywed. Cofiwch ddod draw ac ymuno gyda ni!
