Hilary Carty, Executive Director, Clore Leadership

Hilary Carty was appointed Director of Clore Leadership in September 2017. She started her career in the performing arts and was appointed as Director of Dance for Arts Council England (1994-2003). Other senior roles included policy development in the Arts Council and the formation of the cultural programme of the 2012 London Olympic Games bid team. Hilary is well known for her period as director of the £22m government-funded Cultural Leadership Programme between 2006 and 2011, following which she worked in the UK and overseas as a coach and consultant in the arts and cultural industries, including as Visiting Professor in Austria and Germany and Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College, London, for which in 2017 she directed an international Executive Leadership Programme: Leading Culture in the 21st Century.

Keith Arrowsmith, Head of Legal Services, Counterculture

Keith is Head of Legal Services at Counterculture. He qualified as a solicitor in 1995, and has worked in law firms in London, Manchester, and Sheffield. He provides guidance on governance, intellectual property, contracts, website law, and charity law. He also contributes to workshops, planning days, talks, reports, and provides other bespoke guidance. He researches governance and charity law at Sheffield Hallam University. Keith was recommended in the independent guide, Legal 500 in 2019 and 2020.

Reyahn King, Chief Executive, York Museums Trust

Reyahn became Chief Executive of York Museums Trust in 2015 and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Trust and its trading subsidiary. The Trust includes three venues: York Castle Museum, Yorkshire Museum and York Art Gallery, 2 scheduled monuments and York Museum Gardens. Previously, Reyahn was Head of HLF West Midlands and Director of Art Galleries at National Museums Liverpool from 2007-2012. Reyahn began her career as a curator of art and then Head of Interpretation and Exhibitions at Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. She is currently on the Boards of Crafts Council and Culture Perth and Kinross. Reyahn is a Fellow of the Museums Association and a Clore Fellow.
