GOVERNORS’ NEW TO CHURCH SCHOOLS

To consider the background and current national and Diocesan context of being a Church school governor; to explore the roles and responsibilities of Church school governors, particularly Foundation governors; to consider aspects of effective Church schools; to provide a brief overview of the SIAMS Inspection Framework and governors’ roles within this; to share best practice with other Church school governors.

All new Foundation governors are expected to attend this training within the first year of appointment.

Cost: £free PA / £50 Non PA

Cancellations: should you need to cancel your booking, refunds will only be given with sufficient notice. A full refund, minus £20 admin fee, will be given if you cancel at least 2 weeks in advance. A 50% refund, minus £20 admin fee, will be given if you cancel with at least a week’s notice. If you cancel with less than a week’s notice no refund will be given.
