About this event
Join bestselling author of Midnight Chicken, Ella Risbridger, who will be here discussing her newest book The Year of Miracles with award-winning food writer, Kate Young.
This is a cookbook. It’s also a story about a year of grief and hope and change; a year of fancy fish pie, cardamom-cinnamon chicken rice, chimichurri courgettes, quadruple carb soup, blackberry miso birthday cake, and sticky toffee Guinness brownie pudding.A year of loss, and every kind of romance, and fried jam sandwiches.A year of seedlings and pancakes. A year of falling in love. A year of recipes. A year, in other words, of minor miracles.
Perhaps you’ve read and cooked from Midnight Chicken (& Other Recipes Worth Living For). Perhaps you haven’t. Either way, The Year of Miracles is the story of what happened next - and how even after the worst thing you can think of happens, you can still cook, and eat, and love.
Ella and Kate will be discussing these themes and of course, food and cooking! Do include a copy of The Year of Miracles in your event ticket. Books by both authors will also be available to purchase on the night!
