Mr Bhalla is a London-based Consultant Ophthalmologist with a warm, patient-centred approach and a reputation for clear communication and attention to detail. He completed advanced glaucoma surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where he gained extensive experience managing complex cases. Known for building lasting relationships with his patients based on trust and mutual respect, he is also actively involved in teaching, mentorship, and global health initiatives. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sport and fitness, and is committed to charitable work both in the UK and abroad.
Mr Bhalla specialises in glaucoma and cataract surgery, with particular expertise in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), trabeculectomy, the PreserFlo MicroShunt, and tube implants including the PAUL and Baerveldt devices. He has a strong interest in surgical innovation, education, and global ophthalmology, regularly presenting his research at national and international meetings. He also plays a key role in postgraduate training programmes and has contributed to developing patient resources to support informed decision-making.
