This week, we introduce you to Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Mr Michael Elvey. He will be discussing 'Common hand and wrist conditions for Primary Care':

About the speaker
Mr Michael Elvey
MBBS BSc FRCS (Tr & Orth)
Mr Elvey is a consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist surgeon who graduated from the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2007. After completing speciality training in London he undertook subspecialty fellowships at the world renowned Wrightington Upper limb Unit, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and a travelling Observership at the Institute De La Main, Paris. In 2019 he was awarded the Gold Medal for the highest performance in the British Postgraduate Hand Diploma examination.
Mr Elvey holds an NHS consultant post at London Northwest University (Imperial College) NHS Trust where he supervises trainees in his role of treating all aspects of Hand and Wrist surgery in both adults and children. He publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals, has received numerous research prizes, and presents regularly at national and international scientific meetings.
