GP Special Interest Group (SIG) Creative Health (North) Study Day
Overview
We invite clinicians and medical educators from all specialities and professions who are interested in using art and creativity in medical education to this seminar.
We will explore how art and creativity can be used in medical education- to help us understand the patient perspective of illness, teach the human dimension of medicine, and enable clinician flourishing.
There will be time in small and large group discussion to explore how art and creativity can help address the aims of the NHS 10 Year Plan e.g health equity and clinician wellbeing.
We will engage in experiential learning, take time to share ideas, problem solve and support each other and work towards co-creating a toolkit or list of top tips for using art and creativity in Med Ed to share with colleagues.
This event is being run by members of the RCGP and NCCH GP SIG for Creative Health and will take place at York Medical Society, a beautiful historic building in the centre of York in the shadow of York Minster, just 15 minute’s walk from the train station.
Aims of the GP SIG are to:
- Inspire whole person care through the Arts.
- Support clinicians and students to connect, reflect and flourish.
- Embed creative health across practice, education and policy.
