Join us for a visit to the site of Grace Dieu Priory near Thringstone, Leicestershire. This event is a chance to find out more about the history of this Augustinian Priory founded around 1235 -1241 by Roesia de Verdun. Kenneth Hillier who wrote the forward for the the Draft Account Book of the Treasuresses will give a talk about the history of the priory and the incredible surviving accounts that throw light on the social and economic activity of this small nunnery during the reign of Henry V. This will be followed in the afternoon by a walk around the site hosted by The Friends of Grace Dieu Priory. A light lunch is included.
