The Merge perfectly captures a modern world obsessed with controversial solutions for problems it has created, depicting all too clearly the impossibility of aging with dignity in a society that doesn’t value life as a mother with Alzheimer’s and her daughter make the radical choice to merge minds, blending their consciousness into one.

Who Wants to Live Forever is a deeply affecting novel about timing, family, desire, the fetishization of youth, the pursuit of greatness, and what we might be willing to sacrifice along the way in an audacious story about a couple torn apart by a miracle drug which can extend a human's life indefinitely.

Grace Walker works as an English teacher, delighting in helping children discover the joy of reading. She has a degree in Spanish and Italian and a background in video production. The Merge, her debut novel, is a BBC Radio 2 Book Club Pick.

Hanna Thomas Uose is a British Japanese writer living in London. In 2023, she completed the MA in Prose Fiction at the University of East Anglia. Who Wants to Live Forever, her debut novel, was a BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick, Good Housekeeping Good Books pick, Apple Books April pick and Morley Prize Winner.
