Grading Matcha Experience 1

By Takako Amano

Overview

You can learn and taste differently graded Matcha. This year, you are rating three different types of matcha yourself.

Recently Matcha has become very popular all over the world and it also is the case in the UK. But what we find outside Japan are most likely the lowest grade and unsuitable for real tea ceremony.

After learning about how the Japanese elaborated mere tea drinking into a sophisticated & ceremonial art form through our Tea Ceremony session, you can have this rare opporunity to appreciate three differently graded Matcha. This year, you are going to be given them first and you grade them from Best (i.e. very expensive), OK (still expensive) and supermarket quality (suitable for matcha latte).

In order to attend this event, you must book the main event ticket 11:45 entry in addition to this particular event ticket.
