Graduate Apprenticeship: data science - webinar for school and FE staff
Event Information
About this event
Are you looking to learn more about Graduate Apprenticeships as a positive destination for your learners? We would like to invite teachers, FE lecturers, careers advisors and business engagement staff from Scotland's schools and colleges to an information session about the programme. Join Dr Mario Kolberg, GA Data Science programme director, for a discussion about how these programmes work and the benefits they can provide for your learners, your employer network, and your outcomes.
The University of Stirling offers the Graduate Apprenticeship in Data Science - a fully funded programme to meet current and future skills gaps. This innovative model is delivered online, one day per week, and apprentices apply their learning directly to the challenges facing their business.
With the fees covered by Scottish Government funding, this programme provides an attractive and cost effective route to upskill the existing workforce or recruit motivated new talent. Graduate Apprenticeships are funded by the Scottish Government and deliver upskilling in priority areas. Our programme blends academic and workbased learning to rapidly skill people in data science. The course supports the development and embedding of a range of data skills including analysis, script programming, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistics and more. Apprentices are introduced to database technologies and learn cutting edge technology such as computer vision and natural language processing.
Register to join us on May 17th at 10am via Teams. If this time doesn't suit but you would like to know more, please contact fiona.mcmillan@stir.ac.uk
