Graduate Employment Workshops
The Graduate Employment Workshops, collaboration between the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian (GCU) aimed at future graduates.
The purpose of these workshops are to help prepare students by taking them through a journey within life science companies with a view that it gives a much better perspective of potential jobs/careers within out life science community. These innovative events aim to take students through the whole process of product/drug development from initial concept, through R&D, legislation, production and marketing.
Through an interactive format and excellent guest speakers, the aim is to inform students about what the Life Sciences industry has to offer in terms of career options.
25 spaces will be provided by each university for the workshops
The workshops are held over 3 separate Wednesday afternoons from 2.00pm - 4.30pm, hosted by each of the universities
There will be two modules per workshop lasting approximately 1 hour. The modules will be interactive with a short initial presentation and subject area and then an interactive exercise led by the presenter(s) so the graduates get hands on involvement in the areas of business
Students will be asked to register beforehand for all 6 modules
Students attending all 6 modules will receive a certificate that should enhance their CV
