Description

GRADUATE HUB 2017

Wednesday 26th July

From 3pm

Join us for the first Graduate Hub event here at Ravensbourne.

During the first hour of the event we'll be hosting a series of short talks to help support new graduates.

Afterwards join the speakers, other graduates and Ravensbourne staff to chat about how things have gone since graduation, ask for advice and enjoy some pizza and refreshments.

Oh and the image above is to make the event look fun, which it will be, but it'll be drinks in the Walker Space rather than a massive rave...

Our bounty of speakers include -

Tom Neish

Tom Neish is a graduate of the Digital Film Production course at Ravensbourne. The day he graduated was the same day he founded Biscuit Bunker, a video content production agency, with fellow graduate Elliott Hickey. The company got its name while Tom and Elliott were working from the basement of a converted dog biscuit factory in East London. With Biscuit Bunker, Tom has gone on to produce and direct branded content for the likes of AVON, Mastercard, Bentley and Dunhill.

Clara Beckley

Clara is a dynamic business, enterprise and skills professional with over 15 years’ experience in the educational and training sector. Has lent herself to helping individuals develop skills for the workplace. She is particularly keen to enable people develop the confidence to transition from study into the world of work. An engaging and straight forward speaker.

During her time at Ravensbourne, she has been responsible for running creative and thought provoking CV workshops, employability skills sessions, and careers advice. Known for building relationships with academics to put in place training and skills solutions for graduates across all levels. She also develops strong links with Industry contacts for placement and work opportunities.

Pete Rockliffe

Pete lives life to his own set of rules. Never one to conform and using dyslexia as an edge. He goes about business knowing that if something was easy everyone would be doing it.

After Ravensbourne Pete stayed in broadcasting studio directing and set up his own business, which led to him working in LA. Inspired by his time away, he saw potential in creative marketing and returning to England set up an online deal site. However this industry had become over saturated. Not seeing failure as an option but rather a new path, he found potential in the new online mobile industry boom.

Pete currently runs a telecoms business with offices in Brick Lane, enjoying the constant challenge of an industry that is liable to change daily and keeping one step ahead of the game.

Chimaka Anyuam and Idowu Kukoyi

Idowu is a Digital television graduate working as a production Assistant for Premier League Productions who is also in the process of setting up her own food business that couples food and immersive theatre under one roof. Post her contract with the Premier league she will begin to look for opportunities to make that step up to be a coordinator.

Chimaka, Product Design graduate turned User Experience Researcher (UX Researcher) with a goal to delve into UX Design. She is currently unemployed (only technically) but working on different personal projects as well as starting her own business aimed at international creatives.
